Steve Jobs – A Mindset, Not Just A Man

Today marked a very sad day for everyone in the Tech Industry, with sad demise of the man we call Steve Jobs. To me, he was more than a man, a mindset to be honest and Dictionaries should define him that way. He taught us the way of living. To many he is all about innovation in the technology sector, but in general his teachings can be fully applied to any walk in life, to any occupation by any age group.

imageThere have been great man through out history and many more who exist at present and a lot more to come in the future. But I for one consider myself lucky to have seen this man live and achieve greatness right now, during our lives. We are lucky to have belonged to this era where a man had such a huge impact on the world around us. A man who lived for his vision, principles and achieving each one of them. From creating Apple, to being thrown out, coming back at a time when Apple was a mere 90 days from bankruptcy to make it the most valuable company. Its stocks traded at $4 a share a decade back and now those float smooth at $330 plus. That speaks volumes about the genius this man was. Err, sorry, the mindset.

Following are a few words shared by some leading innovators in the Technology Sector. We will be sharing more of Steve Jobs’ Videos and quotes with one ambition that everyone learns from them. The target, is the youth.

  • Steve, your passion for excellence is felt by anyone who has ever touched an Apple product (including the Macbook I am writing this on right now). And I have witnessed it in person the few times we have met. [Sergey Brin]
  • The legacy of Steve Jobs will be remembered for generations to come. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to the Apple team. [Michael Dell]
  • He lived the longest he possibly could with someone with his illness…. If there was anyone who understood the value of life, it’s Steve Jobs [Eric Schmidt]
  • Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you. [Mark Zuckerberg]
